Working with Jackson was a dream! He immediately understood the mood I was going for and knew exactly how to capture the visuals we needed to portray it. He was patient and open to playing around with the shots, which created an atmosphere that felt safe and encouraging for myself and the rest of the dancers!

We're thrilled to have found an editor and collaborator like Jackson. As an editor, he has a keen sense of movement and timing—finding ways to make our content shine. As a collaborator, he is thoughtful and thorough—often asking questions or sharing suggestions that help us get clearer on what we want and that result in a stronger end product. Looking forward to working with Jackson again!

Passion Projects

“Curious Jackson”

Today, pornography is sex education and Twitter is a news source. These probably weren’t the intentions but they are now facts. I'd like to believe that, today, people learn the most when they're on the toilet - when they're mindlessly scrolling. People learn behavior changes and change minds when they're among trusted friends and when they're bored.

Since social media has become a major “education” platform, the way we teach needs to adapt as well.

In my personal journey of sustainability research, I learned that solutions to our climate crisis exist - they just have a huge PR problem because these solutions are so complex and ever-changing that it's incredibly difficult to explain, especially by scientists, and ultimately, facts don't change minds - storytelling does.

This episodic format tells the story of an average millennial trying to learn and asks the skeptical but necessary questions. This humanizes these conversations because they are no longer just about the research, but the curious everyday people behind the research.

Every film is propaganda and this show is using those techniques for educational purposes.

A Street Dancer’s Ecoanxiety Movement Workshop

How can we maintain hope and sanity in an increasingly unstable world?

This question is prevalent even among, or especially among those working on climate solutions because they know first-hand just how dire our climate crisis is.

There is a growing need for ecoanxiety solutions and yet it is still a relatively new phenomenon that psychologists have only started researching it recently.

Many art forms from street cultures were born as a reaction to an unstable world. There is a resemblance with ecoanxiety in terms of living through systemic issues and needing something to help cope, be hopeful, or just maintain mental health.

These workshops are 90-min guided movement journeys for dance novices to explore the emotions involved when talking about the climate crisis and discover ways that movement can heal.

Think of it like a guided meditation - but by a street dancer!
