What I Do
I write, shoot and edit - specializing in making dance videos, explainers and event trailers. Below is my sample work for commercials, music videos, dance films, documentaries and animations.
Musicality Is My Editing Specialty
I believe that music videos and dance films have much more potential than cutting on beat and flashy lights. As a dancer, I find beats and rhythm in everyday things including talking heads and even eye movements, so I choreograph image, sound and text to accentuate their impact.
My specialty is best utilized in music videos and event promotional videos or any project that requires compilation of existing footage.

Events
Client: CU Presents
CU Presents is the premier marketing organization for all performing arts events on the campus of University of Colorado Boulder.
I have shot 200+ hours of performances and 80+ hours of interviews for them and this is a seasonal promotional video compiling all the footage we shot. 90% of the footage along with all animations and editing in this video were done by me.
Client: Block 1750
Block 1750 was a community space dedicated to supporting youth growth through various movement and arts based communities in Colorado. Block Party was their annual event featuring world-renowned guests.
I have filmed and produced for every Block Party since 2015. All footage was shot live. 90% of the footage along with all animations and editing in this video were done by me.
Client: Clif Bar & Company
Clif is a sponsor at the marathon event Bolder Boulder and wanted to capture their presence.
All footage here was shot and edited by me.
(I also accidentally walked the entire 10K with the participants while filming with my glidecam.)
Organization Intro/Explainers
Client: Earth Angel
Earth Angel Sustainable Production Services works with TV, film and event productions to create eco-friendly sets.
This video was created entirely with recycled footage so none of the footage was shot by me. I scripted, edited and animated all parts of this video.
Client: CIEE
CIEE is a nonprofit study abroad and intercultural exchange organization that transforms lives and builds bridges between individuals and nations by sponsoring a wide variety of opportunities for the exchange of ideas and experiences.
This is a hybrid of a documentary and promotional video for CIEE’s Prague Film Studies program. This film was shot and edited by me.
Client: University of Colorado Boulder College of Music
I produced promo videos and documentaries for the CU Boulder College of Music for three years, covering from faculty videos to the Eklund Opera Program.
This video was entirely shot, animated and edited by me.

Client: Rockers Rumble
Rockers Rumble was one of the largest breakdance events in the United States, held annually in Boulder, Colorado.
This promotional film was written, directed, shot and edited by me, featuring Bboy Angel Chris.
Client: UN Summit on Biodiversity 2020
The UNFCCC secretariat invites the Film & Television industry to launch a sector-wide initiative to spur additional urgent action on climate. This film was created by me through Earth Angel, with author Dr. Hunter Vaughan and voiced by actress Artemis Snow, for launching the summit and it was premiered live on the President of the General Assembly’s website.
This video was created entirely with stock footage so none of the footage was shot by me. This was written, directed and edited by me in the span of 5 days, from idea to deliverable.

”Believer” - Imagine Dragons Remix
As part of Adobe’s “Make the Cut” celebration of 25th anniversary of Adobe Premiere Pro, I edited a version of Imagine Dragons’ music video “Believer” according to their parameters such as special effects.
This video was entirely edited by me.

Traditional Documentaries
Client: Colorado Shakespeare Festival
Since 1958, CSF has celebrated and explored Shakespeare and his continuing influence and vitality through productions of superior artistic quality, education and community engagement.
This is a hybrid of an explainer video and promotional video of CSF’s then upcoming show, which was performed as an Original Practice.
This film was shot and edited by me.
Client: Block 1750
Block 1750 was a community space dedicated to supporting youth growth through various movement and arts based communities in Colorado.
This video was edited by me within a week in order for it to be submitted as part of a fundraising campaign.
Client: Rockers Rumble
Rockers Rumble was one of the largest breakdance events in the United States, held annually in Boulder, Colorado.

Client: Colorado Shakespeare Festival
The Colorado Shakespeare Festival is a professional theatre company in association with the University of Colorado Boulder.
For the 2017 season of CSF, they had unique minimalist designs done in Adobe Illustrator, so I was able to animate the vector files in Adobe After Effects. The goal was to animate every element in the image according to their own themes.
This was produced entirely in After Effects by me.
Client: Sunrise Movement LA & Loraine for LA
Sunrise Movement Los Angeles is a community organization working to advance intersectional climate justice solutions in LA. Loraine Lundquist ran for LA City Council and was the first candidate to be officially endorsed by Sunrise LA.
This video was a social media release announcing the endorsement. This was produced entirely in After Effects by me with music produced by a fellow Sunrise LA member.
Client: CU Breaking Club
CU Breaking Club is the premier on-campus organization for all Breaking classes, events and performances at the University of Colorado Boulder.
This video was originally produced as their competition entry to Unified Collegiate Breaking League, detailing the roles of each participating member in the organization and later converted to a general promotional video.
This video was directed, shot and edited by me.
We had a wonderful experience working with Jackson! He was quick, efficient, and clear. His work is professional and precise. Jackson was able to translate our raw video and editing notes into a finely tuned video product – and his reasonable, yet competitive prices helped us to stay within our project budget!
